The setup wasn’t versatile - moving components around was cumbersome, and onboarding new team members into such a system was a steep challenge. In today’s CRM landscape, where drag-and-drop builders can deliver all the functionality teams need, Readly’s HTML-based approach was holding them back. Beyond functionality, they also wanted a fresh, consistent, and well-structured design.
SCHMACK partnered with Readly to design and build a fully modular drag-and-drop email template system. The new master template included a wide range of interchangeable modules, allowing the team to create multiple variations of emails quickly and without technical barriers. With this structure, they could easily experiment with layouts, maintain consistency in design, and make the process accessible to both seasoned and new CRM team members.
The switch to drag-and-drop templates transformed Readly’s email production. What once took 3 hours per email now takes just 30 minutes.
